St Fagan's 'Belonging' Event to Launch Adult Learners' Week

Hands on Science took part in 'Belonging', the Adult Learners' Week launch event, at St Fagan's Museum of Welsh life near Cardiff on Saturday 19th May.

The windmill activity was used to raise awarness of alternative methods of generating electricity.

The children and adults who made windmills each won an energy saving light bulb! (Light bulbs and energy saving leaflets were donated by Cardiff County Council)

Approximately 30 windmills were made on the day by a variety of people ranging from 5 years old to 65!

The session will be held from 6.30pm at The Gate art centre, Keppoch Street, Cardiff. All ages welsome - come and look at giant fossils and tiny ones through a microscope! Free Entry. The Planets Jul 28, 2009 Last Saturday, July 25th - saw the performance of a free concert celebrating the Apollo Moon landings and the International Year of Astronomy at the National Museum, Cardiff following on from the Astronomy Festival which took place during the day.
