Year 2 Activities and EventsAfter a very succesful year Hands on Science are now planning more events for 2007-2008. Hands on Science DebateKicking off on Thursday 13th December with the Hands on Science Debate, this event will look at two currrent topics in science: Climate Change and Ethincs and Genetics. This event is open to year 10, 11 & 12 pupils from schools across South East Wales and will be held at the National Museum in Cardiff. Pupils taking part will be encourraged to think about the topics and questions the 'experts' as well as discuss the isues in more depth. The aim of the event is to improve pupils' knowledge on the two topics and make them more aware of the issues involved. It will also give pupils experience in public speaking and debate. Science CareersHands on Science are also offering school a Science Careers Workshop which can be presented to a class of up to 30 pupils in school. This is suitable for year 11 or Year 10 pupils and will look at the variety of Science related Degrees and Career options avaiable to pupils once they finish school, as well as including some interesting science demonstrations and interactive activities.
