Hands on Science Main Event
Pupils took part in a number of different workshops as well as attending guest lectures and having the 
chance to talk to local Colleges and Careers Wales about opportunities available to them in Science, Maths and health in their future education and careers.

Swansea Neath Port Talbot Summer School
Girls attending the 4 week residential summer school at Swansea University and Swansea Institute of Higher Education had the chance to extraxt DNA from stawberries under the expert supervision of Dr Sarah Forbes-Robertson.

Welsh lecturesrs from Bangor and Aberystwyth will be visitng Glamorgan Univesity to present some inspiring and engaging science lectures in Chemistry and Biology on July 13th.

LARCI are organising a workshop to explore the local and regional dimensions of Science Cities. The event will showcase examples of excellent research which have been funded by the research councils.

Hands on Science Main Event 28th & 29th June
The Hands on Science Main Event will be taking place on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th June a the National Museum, Cardiff. 300 Year 10 pupils from 10 schools across South East Wales will be attending the event which aims to raise their awareness of Science, Maths and Health subjects they can study at University and related  careers.

Source Innovation Fund
Hurry, the closing date for bids to the Source Innovation Fund is fast approaching: Monday 23rd April! The fund has been created in order to support teachers whilst they create resources to be submitted to Source, amounts of £500-£1500 are available.

Scientriffic Wrexham
Ray Newberry a lecturer in Food Science from UWIC, Cardiff, presented a hands on workshop about the science of chocolate. Lots of families came along to learn about the origins of chocolate, the process it goes through to get to the factories and the process it goes though to reach the shops.
