Hands on Science Festival 2008

The First Campus Hands on Science STEM Festival will take place
 between 6th-13th December 2008.

The Festival Launch will take place on Saturday 6th December at the University of Glamorgan ATRiuM campus in Cardiff 10.30am-4pm.

This is a public event open to everyone to drop in at any time during the day.

This will include a wide variety of hands-on STEM activities, information stands and workshops including:

Christmas Science
Science Journalism
Rap Science
The Royal Society of Chemistry
The Institute of Physics
The BA
Cardiff University
University of Glamorgan
Local FE Colleges
Robots
Telescopes and Astrophysics
Cardiff Astronomical Society
And lots more!



The following events are FREE of charge to schools and the public but booking is essential:

Family Learning day: Sunday 7th December at the National Museum in Cardiff, 11am-4pm. A wookshop looking at recycling and hand made paper.

Humourology: the Comedy of Science: Sunday 7th December, Dempsey's, Castle Street Cardiff 7.30pm til late (18+)

Between Monday 8th-Friday 12th December there will be a full school's programme with a variety of workshops for KS2-5.

The Planets with Burry Port band: Saturday 13th December, UWIC, Llandaff Campus main hall, 7.30pm. The Burry Port Band will be performing Holst's Planet Suite with Professor Mark Brake introducing each of the planets though science and science fiction.
