First Campus at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama have delivered the Schools Opera project to pupils from ten primary schools in South East Wales recently. 

Second year opera studies students toured schools with a van packed full of set and costumes and performed Benjamin Britten’s Opera The Little Sweep to pupils and parents. The students also delivered a workshops where children from each school performed as the choir and sang three songs from the Opera. 

The performances were a huge success and all the children that took part thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Footage from the schools opera will be showcased at the First Campus celebration event being held at the Pierhead Building in Cardiff Bay on 29th July 2010.
