Reaching Wider Swansea Neath Port Talbot Summer University 2007

9th July - 3rd August

The Summer University is a FREE 4 week residential* course taking place at Swansea Institute and Swansea University. It is aimed at young people studying in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot on the first year of a level 3 course (AS Level, BTech etc.)

As part of the Summer University students receive:

The opportunity to experience student life at HE level
FREE Accommodation in the halls of residence
FREE leisure activities
A £25 weekly bursary

Successful completion of the Summer University gives the equivalent of 60 UCAS points when applying to Swansea Institute or Swansea University. *Students can study on a non residential basis where appropriate.For more information or an application form please contact: alice.davies@sihe.ac.uk or ring 01792 602 125.

Science Cafe 4th August Jul 28, 2009 Science Cafe welcomes families to their second family workshop looking at fossis large and small on Tuesday 4th August. The session will be held from 6.30pm at The Gate art centre, Keppoch Street, Cardiff. All ages welsome - come and look at giant fossils and tiny ones through a microscope! Free Entry. The Planets Jul 28, 2009 Last Saturday, July 25th - saw the performance of a free concert celebrating the Apollo Moon landings and the International Year of Astronomy at the National Museum, Cardiff following on from the Astronomy Festival which took place during the day.
